Arizona Family Session

This was one of many awesome images from a recent Arizona session. Good family, really good family. I liked them. Still do. I’m only posting one for now. I love the expressions on the kid’s faces.

Nikki Castoe - Love this picture, it is my absolute favorite one you took of this family. Jamie is my sister and you captured her family beautifully. You are so talented.

My three girls and a few cousins

A few images of my three daughters, and our cousins out today,…having some fun.

Michell White - Nice!I like the effects you used in the second photo.

Evan + Marisa E-shoot

Alright, the first engagement session of this new year, January 9. Marisa and Evan are both in love, overtly, getting married February 2010. Had a good day today. The images turned out great. I think I consider myself a modern progressive photographer, quickly changing the way I think about art and photography, improving each session. I want to shoot better today than I did yesterday. Staying up late at nights with a desire to push myself beyond the normality of photography does me crazy sometimes. I don’t like average. I don’t want to be average. Average is everywhere. Most people in all trades are just average, which is why it’s called average. All of you reading this myself included,… let’s push ourselves beyond into the unknown where experience is yet to become fruitful knowledge. Stagnation chokes out life. Run away from it. Run away I say!

Anyway,…enough of my philosophical rants. Here are some images of the session…

Tonya + Michael Wed

A few weeks ago, I drove up near Roseville, California (Actually it was McClellan), and photographed a wedding for Michael and Tonya. And although it was raining, and we couldn’t get outside shots because of the downpour of rain, we still nailed many shots inside the hotel where the wedding had taken place. Here are a few images from there wedding from a few weeks ago…

Studio update and Bro/Sis Portraits

Since family sessions have been non-stop this past month, trying to finish my studio has been put on hold, as well as posting portrait and wedding images on my blog. Hopefully in the new year, I will begin posting again. I wanted to post a few images from my studio, only because it hasn’t opened yet (officially), and I wanted to give those an idea of what some of the sessions have been like for those who prefer the studio classy look. This was my second studio session.

Two Great kids…

I’m flying out to Portland tomorrow, going to be part of the FAreaking wedding action with two amazing photographers, Kevin Focht (www.leftturnstudio.com) and his great business partner, Andrew Funderberg, a.k.a., Fundy, whom also creates excellent software for photographers.  Both have been involved in photography for a long time.  Kevin has been in the Fashion industry in New York for a while, until he moved back to the west after he and his Family experienced the September 11 tragedy a few blocks away. You can read more about him if you Google his name. Lots of links.

Everyone enjoy your weekend.  Here are a few finished photos of  a recent family session.  Enjoy!

Overdose of Family Portraits

I think everyone and their moms are out for photos this season. I typically don’t shoot much baby shots below or family photos, but it appears this season is popular for family photos. So, I’m trying to produce a few images for everyone, while processing many others I have to finish. I actually used my studio for the first time this week (even though it’s not open yet). Here are few baby shots and a photograph another family in our area. Alright gotta go….

Jamie - Excellent as usual, Charleton! I love the photo of the baby in the traveling trunk; what a great concept :)

Tim & Sarah Wedding

Here are some coming attractions of Tim and Sarah’s wedding I shot in the Bay area recently. What a beautiful fall wedding with colorful leaves everywhere. I can’t wait to return next year to that area, as I have already booked two San Francisco weddings for 2010, hopefully one of them near downtown. The family was was very gracious. The men obviously loved football, asking every minute about the game (referring to Ohio and Minnesota). The sisters (bridesmaids), had cool Old Testament names (Sarah, Leah, and Rachael). Tim’s groomsmen were fun to be around. Oh yeah, and the carrot cake was darn good, the best. Alright, I’m opening the door; come on in…
