There’s also fields, the river, the mountains, in a house, lifestyle sessions, modeling sessions, airport, your favorite place to hang out, vintage looks, modern looks, theme sessions, athlete sessions, and basically anything you want, I can handle it.

This was a funny part of the session trying to get some shots, and the wind was blowing. She was trying to hold her dress down, and so I decided to add these in because she was having fun.

I drove up highway 88 early Monday morning to shoot some customized senior portrait sessions just before Kirkwood resort, called Plasse’s Resort, a great venue for outdoor and indoor activities, with an old church on the property.  Plasse’s resort, Silver Lake, and Kirkwood are all intertwined.  Plasse’s is an excellent place for photography because they have so much going on there with fishing, camping, horses, motorcycles and quads, an old general store and post office, dirt roads, people, big man trucks everywhere, and beautiful cabins.  A perfect place for photographs (without the mosquitoes hovering at you). Actually, a perfect place to shoot a wedding (ahem,..call me!).  I photographed Michele and Charlie there.  Charlie brought his motorcycle.  And we borrowed a white horse from some wonderful woman (whom I hope to get her name down on the next blog), right there at Plasse’s Resort.  Thank you Sandy for having the courage to ASK!  Here are a few of the images…

Amador County and Calaveras County Senior Portraits

Ok, I’m dropping the discount bomb, web-only deal for senior Portraits.  If you see this ad on this website, I’m going to give $50 senior portrait sessions in this month of June only! So, that means, your hour session fee will only cost you $50 (instead of $165).  This includes one outfit and a location of your choice in the area.  I’m only going to give this deal to ten seniors this month! So, as of now, there are only 10 slots available.  Please call to reserve a date this month before the spaces fill up.  These session prices are only good for Amador County and Calaveras County high school seniors of the 2010-2011 year.

I thank Jesus.  Without Him, my life would definitely not be where it’s at today.  I’m a different man.  By God’s grace, I press on daily, striving to be that good man.  He has blessed me with my beautiful wife of eleven years, three beautiful girls, and many relationships with people who are great and influential in my life .  I also want to thank my family locally and afar.  I want to especially thank my wife for not only putting up with me, but taking on quite a load with our home and children, and as a public school teacher.  She has been a huge support in this growing photography business.

People that have been influential in my life, people like my Pastor George for putting up with me and continually encouraging and challenging me all these years.  Randy Fields for his influence in my life as a high school and college student, pushing me to work hard.  Close friends from college and the band, Andrew Shirley, Nathan Brown, Chris Berry, Joel Berry, Brett McFadden, Ben Rayls, Dex Alexander,…where would I be today?

My photographer inspirations and thanks go out to Kevin Focht and Andrew Funderburg for mentoring me and pouring into me regarding the business and art of photography.  Thanks for being honest, challenging, and pushing me to new levels.  Kevin Focht, thank you for allowing me to fly up to Portland and shoot a wedding with you.  Scott Wreyford for your wisdom and willingness to answer all my questions.  Scott Kelby (I know, I don’t know him personally, but man his books are great).  Jonathan Esper your frienship in landscape photography on Mt.
