Yesterday Nathan and Leah married! They exchanged vows and danced passionately at the Knot’s premiere wedding venue, the Fossil Trace Golf Course. We all expected sunny blue skies on the golf course, since Friday was all full of it. However, as Colorado weather would have it, rained moved in quickly, and put everybody inside for the ceremony, which didn’t stop anyone from a joyous celebration. It most definitely made it more exciting for me to photograph in the rain. I love a challenge, but I also wanted to embrace and capture the beauty of the stormy weather around this mountain surrounding golf course. I had photographed Tim and Sarah’s 2009 California Bay area wedding (Sarah and Leah are sisters), and it was more than welcoming to receive a phone call once again to photograph the last of three sister’s from a wonderful family,…and in Colorado (my favorite state). While here, I had John Denver’s Classics (Rocky Mountain High, Take Me Home, Back Home Again, to name a few) on continuous repeat, and I never tired of them as I traveled miles throughout the state to hike and photograph locations I have never traveled. And now I’m leaving on a jet plane home on Southwest, and don’t know when I’ll be back again. Here are a few images in the meantime that worked on during this flight. Congratulations to Nathan and Leah once again!
